Is it right for you?
Yes, if you want the phone wrapped in Horween leather: a full wrap, buttons that click, and you are happy for the leather to mark and deepen as you carry it.
Probably not, if you want card slots, 15ft of drop protection, to see the phone, or Camino, which marks more slowly.
Fit and finish
Horween leather is minimally treated, so colour and grain can vary a little between units. That is the leather, not a fault. It develops a patina, creating more character with use. Scuffs become part of the finish.
Using it
Fitting a lanyard. Sit Nomad's Wrist Strap anchor in the recessed area inside the case, then push the D-ring through the USB-C opening. Put the iPhone in, then loop the strap through the D-ring. A third-party lanyard goes through the D-ring too. You still need the anchor.
Leather care. Nomad recommends Ashland Leather Co Leather Conditioner. Scuffs and marks are the patina starting, not a fault.
Warranty
Nomad gives a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
Covered: manufacturing and workmanship defects. Faults in how the case was built.
Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic ageing, scratches and scuffs from everyday use, damage caused by dropping the case, misuse, and any modification of the product. Leather that has developed a patina has done its job, and that isn't a defect.

- Is it MagSafe compatible?
- Yes, with any MagSafe charger or accessory. It also carries an alignment magnet, so accessories that need a fixed orientation sit the right way up. Qi2 wireless charging works with the case on.

- What is the difference between Horween and Camino leather?
- Horween is a more natural leather that develops a patina quicker and is more prone to scratches and marks, vegetable-tanned by hand in Chicago the traditional way since 1905. Camino develops a patina more slowly and is a more resilient leather, vegetable and chrome tanned at Ecco in Denmark.

- Yes. It develops a patina, creating more character with use. Marks become part of the finish.
- How do I attach a lanyard?
- Sit the Wrist Strap anchor in the recessed area inside the case, push the D-ring through the USB-C opening, put the iPhone in, then loop the strap through the D-ring. You still need the anchor for a third-party lanyard.
- My leather is marked. Is that covered?
- No. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, not wear and tear. A patina is the leather working as intended.
